We were asked to investigate consistent compressor failures across a high end hotel with LG Multi V5 systems serving the hotel rooms and communal areas. The owner asked us to get to the bottom of the consistent compressor failures over the past year.
After plugging onto the system with LGMV software, we quickly discovered a faulty Sub-Cool expansion valve causing consistent liquid floodback to the condensers. This was causing the compressors to fail. Once diagnosed and replaced the systems have been running fault free, and still are to this day.
Current run time without failure : 19 months.
